Human rights commission is a constitutional body established under part XII of the constitution of the Republic of Zambia, to monitor, promote, and protect human rights in Zambia. the commission visited prisons and related places of detention with a view to assessing and inspecting conditions of the persons held in such places and make recommendations to redress such existing problems.
